cv-cat view can be used to add simple label (0-9) to image filenames when saving in view operation:

cat images.bin | cv-cat "view=0,,png"

This will wait at each frame for a key press:

space: save the file as <timestamp>.png

numerical keys 0-9: save the file as <timestamp>.<num>.png

escape to exit and any other key to show the next frame without saving

 

view parameters:

The first parameter is the wait in milliseconds for key press, 0 to wait indefinitely, default 1 ms

the second parameter is the window caption

the third parameter is the image extension e.g. png, jpg ..., default ppm
